About AI Signal
AI Signal is a verified reference for large language model API pricing. It tracks 72 current models across 9 providers — what each one costs per million tokens in and out, what cached input and cache writes cost, how big the context window is, and when the model is scheduled to be retired.
The point of difference is provenance. Every figure was read off the provider's own pricing page, and every row shows the date it was checked and links to the page it came from. Nothing here is estimated, converted from a blog post, or recalled from memory.
Who maintains it
Álvaro Lucero Rufino — a computer engineering student and consultant who pays for these APIs on his own projects. He develops and maintains the site: he verifies the data, decides what gets published, and answers corrections.
AI Signal was founded by Román Meilán in August 2026. The dataset and the site are Álvaro's work.
How the data is verified
- The table covers models charged per token with text output and a price published by the maker. Audio, image, video and embedding models, and anything priced per minute, stay out even when the same page prices them.
- Prices are checked against each provider's official pricing page, and the check date is published next to the number.
- "Verified" covers two outcomes. Either the price was read on the provider's official page, or we confirmed that the provider publishes no per-token price at all: that row says "no published price", dated the day the absence was checked. A row we could not check either way — or one priced only in a currency we would have to convert — says "no data" and links to the provider. It never shows a guess.
- Promotional rates are shown alongside the list price they revert to, with the date the promotion ends.
- Price changes are recorded rather than silently overwritten, so a change is visible after the fact.
How the writing is produced
The tables and model pages are generated from a verified dataset, not written prose. The few explanatory articles on the site were drafted with AI assistance and are reviewed by the editor, who is responsible for what stays published. Automatic publishing was discontinued in September 2026, and the posts that no longer met that standard were taken down rather than left up.
Corrections
If a number here is wrong, email info@neuraltech.pro with the model and the source you're looking at. Corrections get checked and fixed, and that is the reason every source link is published in the first place.
